Your destination

The tiny town of Lal Lal is about three kilometres from the property. Here you’ll discover two historic treasures - both built in the 1860s: the bluestone railway station and water tower that serviced the steam engines back in the day. Lal Lal also has its own pub, but be aware that this is currently closed whilst undergoing renovations.

The property is surrounded by quiet dirt roads, so a morning walk, run or bike ride is likely to encounter more magpies than motor vehicles.

A short drive away is Lal Lal Falls, where you’ll appreciate why the local indigenous peoples, the Wadawurrung, gave this region the name Lal Lal, meaning ‘rushing waters’.

In the charming town of Buninyong, about 10 minutes away by car, you’ll have access to a supermarket, fuel station, ATM, pub and a small number of cafes, takeaways, restaurants and shops.
